Meet Melissa Osborne
I grew up in Akron Ohio and moved to Florida 8 years ago with my husband. We have two amazing daughters Jaylen (9) and Madalyn (2). Not long after moving here I learned about this amazing ISR program while working for the Central Florida YMCA. I was so inspired and knew I had to be a part of this program. I became an ISR Instructor for the Safe Start program at the Central Florida YMCA. I taught there for 5 amazing years, year round before my family made the move down here to Bradenton to be closer to family.My youngest daughter Madalyn finished her 3rd refresher course this past spring and her confidence and skills in the water is all thanks to this program. She still amazes me with her swimming and floating every time we are in the water.
I am very dedicated and honored to be able to teach these very important lifesaving skills to these amazing little students, and continue with our goal and mission that "Not One More Child Drowns."
